Is Mortal Kombat vs. DC worth spending $60 on or should this game be better getting as a rental?

I buying it because it's a vs. game and it has DC characters in it; if it wasn't a vs. game I would probably rent it instead IMO.

Why did they put a gay superhero like Captain Marvel in this game? His cape looks retarded and keeps saying "Shazam!" (that shout is so annoying).

Half of me feels that this game will be great but the other half feels like this game will suck. I only feel that this game will be good is because I'm a sucker for crossover games and the reason I feel this game will suck is because Midway hasn't been making that many good games lately. Seriously, why can't someone else make this game? Midway is just going to be another example why you should hate MK even further.

Why can't they get someone else to do it? Because MK is Midway's series. Why WOULD they get someone else to do it when they can do it on their own? And seeing that they're trying to make this game different from the last three MK games, it's pointless to judge this game based on them. Besides, from the looks of it, it seems like good improvement and even though it's not out yet, many people have already made up their opinions about it and they're NOT basing it on the old games. And if you still have not come up with a conclusion, then that just seems like a personal problem.

Some people had an interview with Boon asking him about the fatalities and he commented "We're pushing the T rating envelope". This does mean that he's almost making this game a rated M right?
