DC vs. MK

Before MK vs DCU, there was like Moloch, then Onaga, then Blaze,

Onaga is my favorite MK Boss and Villain. I found him to be one of the most original. IDK if I love him because he is from Deception or not, but I just loved Onaga. Blaze was boring and Moloch was stupid to me.

Onaga is my favorite MK boss mainly because he's a dragon. Dragons are one of my favorite legendary creatures.

Not that I know of 😬, but I was kinda wondering that myself to be honest. It's as though they just chose 4 characters at random to not have in the final product.

They just wanted to give an excuse as to why certain characters didn't make the cut, but it isn't good enough.

Since those four were erased from existence, that means it's very unlikely that they'll be downloadable characters.

Yeah.. The initial responses to MK vs DCU was bad enough already, especially when you look back at the first few pages or so of this thread.

Exactly.

Youtube would be flooded with rant videos and Internet forums would be flooded with rant posts made by rabid fanboys if a game like that gets confirmed for the future.

no Nightwing or Robin

Yeah, he was one of the characters that got "erased from existence".

Well the erasing of Cage and Robin were a plus.

Goro and Aquaman however, equal not cool.

Also, yeah, Dark Khan is just...Stupid.

Yep. Either way, I guess it's a stalemate.

Agreed.
It was pretty neat how he had like, caused the change that occurred with Reptile throughout the series, until Onaga was ready to use his body as a host for when the Dragon Egg hatched or whatever.

Even before Deception came out, I wondered what the Dragon King would be like when I heard his name mentioned in the Deadly Alliance intro, and Onaga didn't disappoint.

Agreed on this as well. ^^
If Onaga ever comes back, I hope he canonically gets his revenge against Shao Kahn (something along the lines of how his Armageddon ending was described).

Meh. I knew that Onaga being in MK vs DC (whether as a playable or just a boss) would turn out to be nothing more than wishful thinking, but he (or any other MK boss for that matter) still would've been much better than Dark Khan.
.. lol. That just gave me a weird mental image of Onaga and Darkseid fusing (not that I would want that or anything).

Yep, and MK vs DC already had plenty of those to begin with. Now multiplay those angry MK vs DC rant vids you saw by 50..

Well I'm glad that Aqua Man isn't in this game. But I am pissed that they got rid of Goro.
Ditto. AM & Robin need to be erased. JC & Goro rule. Nightwing should have been in the game too.

This seems like a very dumb way to explain them not being there

Nightwing would have been the shit.

Johnny Cage is gay though.

Moreso than a guy who wears red punk panties outside his pants?

So I take it there will be DLC?

I'm not sure.

Honestly, Onaga needs to be in the next MK game.

He was a very cool boss.

Youtube might have to shut down for a few hours because of the load of rant videos being uploaded the day a game like that is announced.

I'd have a good laugh if that happens.

"Dark Khan's anger erases tons of people from both universes" Are they kidding me with this bullcrap? It's obvious that Midway doesn't want to make a giant roster. They can just tell us that but instead they give us a retarded plot why they ain't in there. There probably would've been a giant roster in MKvsDC if it wasn't for Armageddon.

Yes there will be a DLC store for this game. Ed Boon at X-Play did hint that Kung Lao and Doomsday could be unlockable characters. By "could be" I know he means "will be" because once you have a name that spells noob backwards, you know he's a terrible liar. Can't wait to get Doomsday and use him against Superman.

A bigger roster would've made the game much better.

You shouldn't judge someone by their name.

Heck yeah a bigger roster would've made the game better. Again, blame Armageddon. After that game became an epic fail, I bet Midway thought adding huge rosters would make a game suck.

I was just trying to be humerous there. I wasn't actually being serious. Although there is a saying that a name can change your life.

If they thought that having a somewhat small roster while giving us the pathetic excuse of certain characters being "erased from existence" was a good idea, then they were terribly wrong.

I still don't get why parents would name their son after the slang term for the outer male sex organ, but I digress. It's confusing to tell if you're being serious or not since some of your previous posts had a serious tone to them, surprisingly.

Well, it wasn't the huge roster that made Armageddon receive the criticism it got, but the fact that despite the large choice of characters, much of it was made up by the huge number of cloned characters, and that so many characters looked and played alike.
Then there's the recycling of the Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Shaolin Monks character models, along with the character endings in Armageddon that didn't follow the characters' established continuity, and also the lack of character biographies and the lack of explanation for each characters' status.

Heh. I figured.. Though, now you know where Ed got the idea for Noob Saibot's name (his last name and John Tobias's last name spelled backwards).

Indeed..
If they were trying to not have as big a roster simply because of Armageddon, then they were over-doing it as far as 'toning down the number of characters'.

Looks like Bad times are coming for Midway

Midway on brink of bankruptcy

by Eric Bush

Several newspapers and online publications reported today that Midway Games is facing a possible bankruptcy after warning that it could default on $240 million in debt. Since majority shareholder Sumner Redstone sold his controlling stake (87%) for only $100.000, the publisher's shares have plummeted further to a current price of 23 cents, 40% down since Redstone's sale.
Variety goes even further and claims Midway can only survive for only 50 days.

Hmm? Uh oh.. So I take it MK vs DC wasn't enough to save them from that happening to them? No surprise there. 😬

😂 If they wanna erase Cage & Goro from existance, I don't mind seeing Midway being erased from existence.

LOL 🤣

I guess what goes around comes around.

Obviously Midway was going bankrupt from the start. MKvsDC is perhaps the final nail on Midway's coffin.

Maybe MKvsDC would've been way more better if some of the controls were dealt with and they had a huge roster and actually made the boss more challenging.

The boss is pretty challenging, though.

My main concern is how will this effect the DLC?

How this will effect the DLC store you ask? Well we may have to kiss Doomsday and Kung Lao's butts goodbye because Boon and the gang are screwed all thanks to bankruptcy.

Honestly, I don't know what crossed Boon's mind to have MK crossing over with DC. Because of this situation, many fans of the MK franchise are unbelievably pissed off and because of them pissed off, most aren't buying this game which is making the sales plummet. The only people Midway can now rely on are people who actually enjoy the game and parents buying it for their little kids.
