screw that. i wouldnt buy a used american car, especially with that kind of milage. if you want a high-milage beater, get a honda or toyota. my 2 cents.

I'm not looking for a beater though. I work part time because I go to school pretty much all year round except summer and this Cavalier is something I could easily afford working 20 hours a week.
ok, but when blue smoke starts puffing out of the tailpipe, you'll be sorry.

no i'll just point and laugh 😛
look, if you can even barely afford a new car, even a stripped down economy car, i would recommend that. i cant even count on all fingers how many times my life during school was disrupted because of whatever piece of shit car i was driving, and how much less stressful it all would have been if that wasnt the case.
just make sure you dont sink all your cash on what is basically a hope and a prayer. if you put yourself in a situation where you're basically ****ed if it conks out, you're better off taking that money to las vegas.
have you considered a certifoed preowned? at least you have some sort of warranty then for a certain amount of time/milage.

Well I haven't really sat down and talked to the dealership about this car anyway. So I am not putting all my chips in the middle of the table yet.
I didn't even think about that, thanks for the idea. Only problem is, that I have jackshit in the way of a co-signer because of certain family problems and I don't know if I can get approved with the little credit I have.
