I'm not saying it's fair but to me, all the judges' unjust decision will now do is cause deeper resentment and suspicion of the already corrupt and unpopular N.Y.P.D. and an even greater amount of noncooperation with most of the locals with future crimes.
Just cause the guy shot "looked like a thug". Just cause a judge whom most likely lives in the suburbs whom doesn't know sh*t about the city, whom, with this wrong decision, wanted to look tough to other criminals and win the respect and rep as a hard ass or bad ass among his peers, so that his status and career can be secured, thought it ok to decide so, cause he the kid "looked like a thug." Sure he involved leagl mumbo jumbo but it likely clearly came down to self interest and preconcieved notions. How rediculous. It's classism at it's finest. Even Mayor Bloomberg said the kid was innocent. But it's not over. Federal civil rights charges are next.
Would all those cops have excessively shot at the kid, at close range, while he was leaving a posh night club near Wall Street, had a 3 piece suit on while headed towards his '09 Benz. Would they've killed him? I dunno. If so, would they've gotten away? (with murder)? i dunno.

IF they were coming out of a nightclub known for prostitution and drug dealing and one of his friends said get my gun..then maybe.

No. That was not my point for our personal "bout". That is true for the police situation.
Forget it anyway.

That is most certainly not the case because the crashed into a police vehicle.
That does not prove they had a gun. I think this happened after the police pulled a gun out on them, yes?

In explaining his decision, [the judge] said prosecutors had not proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt because of a combination of factors. Chief among them, inconsistent statements by prosecution witnesses, their demeanor on the stand, their interest in the outcome of the case and their motives to lie.
"These factors," the judge said, "had the effect of eviscerating the credibility of those prosecution witnesses."

Again, that has nothing to do with 50 bullets

Besides, you continue to skip my point about 50 shots being used to subdue three men in a car. There is no wiggle room and no one is firing back.

as far as i know sean bell not only looked like a thug he was a thug. i can't really verify this and i hate to shit on a dead man's legacy but every report i've seen has listed him as a known drug dealer and his associates were most likely also involved in a similar lifestyle. what im trying to say is not that he deserved to die but that maybe it aint all the judge's fault cause sean bell's associates were unable to present a decent case.

Umm, Sean Bell and the others in the car did not have a gun. There was not even one in the car.
