I haven't called anybody on this forum out of there names and have only expressed my OPINION as to why Calfaggy sucks as boxer. You on the other hand are trying to change the subject of the thread in which case you are the TROLL and are trying to bait me into a back and forth exchange. In other words defend Calzaghe or agree with me if not get lost....... [/B]

You don't have the right to tell anyone what to say or do. Just saying.

Insults and poor grammar aside, though, you didn't address any of my points, nor attempt to rationalize the thread except confirming it as little more than a bashing thread (which, again, should be in the boxing thread in the first place).

Look man, this thread is about why I think Calzaghe sucks. Either you agree or don't. I don't want to go back and forth with about anything.................really, because quite frankly, I think you're a douche. Now put your opinion up or leave me alone.

it was a split and the judge who scored it in hopkins' favour was wildly out compared to the other 2 judges and not one commentator knew how he managed to score it the way he did...it should have been unanimous and you know it

there's no denying calzaghe is also getting on in years but he never showed signs of being tired in that fight...which for him is just as well because he needs to last the distance because he knows he's not the hardest hitter in the world...he wins on number and accuracy of punches

but yeah you're right in saying hopkins couldn't last 12...

still....he's a candidate for the boxing hall of fame (Hopkins)...and under what actions?...because he beat del la hoya and Tarver...anyone else of any note he's come up against (Taylor twice, Roy Jones jnr when he WAS in his prime)...he's been beaten...unlike Calzaghe

you cite that Calzaghe hasn't fought anyone of note...well who has Chad Dawson fought?....absolutely nobody worth mentioning...at all

as for him losing to a "fresh" light heavy in 12 rounds...well...not on number and accuracy of punches he wont...and he's only ever been floored twice in his career so his chin is good thus it's unlikely he'll get knocked out

that's what fighters do though...every single one of them...you dont come into the pro ranks and fights top ranking contenders from the off...you have to fight journeymen...Calzaghe never once looked like losing to any of them...unlike hopkins who got beat in his 1st pro fight by Clinton Mitchell....

your continual repetition of this statement doesn't make it true...and even if it were it still wouldn't give any of your other claims any legitimacy

but you're right...Calzaghe should have been ashamed by his performance against hopkins...he didn't fight well...and he still won

You can't be serius when you compare the B-Hops and Calzaghe's resume it is very lopsided. B-Hop has KOed 2 boxing hall of famers (Oscar Delahoya and Tito Trinidad) and outpointed another Hall of Famer in Winky Wright not only that but he jumped up 2 divisions to beat the linear lightheavy weight champ after the age 40. All this after defending his title 20 consecutive times(against the likes of William Joppy, Antwan Echols, Howard Eastman, Segundo Mercado and the list goes on) . Zaghe has defended 20+ times, but he also ducked a Prime Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr. and now that these guys are noticeably past their respective primes he is looking for big money fights against them.<----these actions make him a fraud in my eyes.

As far as Chad Dawson is concerned he is not ranked anywhere near Calzaghe in the P4P rankings and I believe that he would mop the floor with slappy go lucky. Bringing Dawson into this discussion in the way that you are trying to do is irrelevant because Chad is still proving himself while Calzaghe has been a Champion for over 10 years and there are only few named opponents on his resume.

Jaden its no secret that your biased and its being proven in the fact that you are defending Calzaghe even though you are not backing anything up with actual facts.

Are you in any position to accuse people of bias? Really?

You have no argument, you posted several times in this thread and still have yet dispute any of my claims. If you don't like what I have to say that's fine but its obvious that you cant intelligently counter anything that I have posted. I have no bias because I am FAN of the sport of Boxing. Sure there are some fighters that I like more than others, but that has nothing to do with what country they come from. I like Manny Pacquao he is from the Philippines, but I don't like the fact that he doesn't want to fight Juan Manuel Marquez again but that's a different thread all together.

I'm not trying to counter your boxing arguments, I think it's just massively hypocritical of you to call bias on others, especially since you are a biased American who will cheer on an American over any other country, just cos they are American. You will not admit you are biased, so you cannot claim others are.

Whether he is overrated or not, people more knowledgeable and experienced in boxing than YOU, like Calzaghe, and respect his ten year unbeaten record. That's the fact. What can you say to that? "Well I don't like him.".

See, thats not true at all. I cheered for Miguel Cotto in his fights against Judah and Mosley. I also was cheering of Juan Diaz when he lost to Nate Cambell, I cheered for Paul Williams when he beat Antonio Margarito, I cheered for Carlos Quintana when he beat Paul Williams. I was a big Naseem Hamed fan until he got exposed by Barrera.

Again you have no argument and I can call somebody out for being biased because like I said I like the fighters and could care less where they come from. It's just that in this perticular case we are talking about a guy from Britain and the fans over there a loyal to the point of retardation.

You have no Idea how knowledgeable or experienced I am when it comes to boxing so please do your self a favor and don't mention that again........

You are biased too, so why even bring it up as a negative?

Why does it matter how knowledgeable you are? Are you denying that there are people who praise Calzaghe and also happen to know more and have experienced more? Unless you can prove your experience, don't bring it up.

Why does saying 'Calzaghe is the worst boxer on the planet' require an intelligent counter?

not forgetting this gem of a thread

You guys are posting all of that old stuff like it's some kind of ace up your sleeves, but in reality I said most of that stuff for my own entertainment and shock value. There is reason the threads that I make go atleast three pages deep and it's the shock aspect of them. I could care less about you Brits and I express my self as such. It has nothing to do with my opinion on Boxing....................

You could care less about us Brits, yet you care enough to worry about the fanbase of Calzaghe?

I could see your point if that where all I stated. My argument has been solidified in the first two pages of this thread. Seems to me like you guys already know that Zaghe isn't the real deal and are trying make this thread about something else. 😉

Thats where his fan base is.....................Genius 🙄

How is him not being as good as everyone says equal to him being the single worst boxer on this planet?

You are suggesting there is NO boxer whom he is better than, and yet, no boxer has been able to beat him in 10 years.

How does this claim work? What IS your claim? "He's overrated.", or "He's the worst boxer out of all the boxers on Earth."?

Did you skip the part where I CLEARLY pointed out that a lot of the stuff I say is for strictly for SHOCK value.

can't be serious?...there's only 1 thing we need to take into account...Calzaghe schooled Hopkins...it was always on the cards...to say it's because Hopkins is over the hill when Calzaghe is 36 years old himself is a bit of a bizarre point to make....he beat Kessler in what you would consider his prime

wow...Hopkins beat De la Hoya....not saying De la Hoya isn't a good fighter...but when you actually examine his career....he's never beaten any of the top opponents he went up against

as for the likes of Joppy....who?...look at his last 5 fights before Bute...the people he fought were useless...the 5 of them in there 6 fights each before Joppy...that's 30 fights in total...won a total of 3 between them....top notch opponents

same applies to Antwun Echols...useless fighter...shows in his last 6 fights...hasn't won since 2004....lost or drew as many as he has since Hopkins...against nobodies

Eastman...lost 5 of his last 7

Mercado...won 1 of his last 9 since hopkins in the last 13 years..

yes...all top drawer fighters....well played

oh

and Calzaghe beat Hopkins

now on the other hand we'll look at Calzaghe's opponents, opponents

Kessler...beat Mundine...who since that fight has won all of his fights

beat Andrade...who has only ever lost to Kessler

Jeff Lacy...only ever lost to Calzaghe...although he got that much of a whooping that hes only fought twice since

As far as Chad Dawson is concerned he is not ranked anywhere near Calzaghe in the P4P rankings and I believe that he would mop the floor with slappy go lucky. still proving himself as in...hasn't proved himself at all...because he hasn't fought anyone of note at all....he should fight Andre Ward or Anthony Dirrell...both around the same weight...ish...both good prospects

Jaden its no secret that your biased and its being proven in the fact that you are defending Calzaghe even though you are not backing anything up with actual facts.

I dont have to defend him....the fact that he's undisputed champion of one of the most competetive weight divisions in boxing is defence enough...the fact that he's held a title for over 10 years is defence enough

It's not shocking, it's just stupid and it makes you look like a complete idiot, far from someone who's educated in boxing.
