Willa Cather

At the risk of this becoming one of those threads that gets like nine posts and then sinks to the bottom of the page for good, I will attempt to start a discussion on the writer.

I read "My Antonia" a while back and I was immensely impressed, aside from illustrating a charming picture of Eastern European immigrants in Nebraska it is a devastatingly honest and beautiful picture of growing up. I know this sounds like the synopsis of some crappy Hallmark made-for-tv film called "Julia's Difficult Choice" or some shit like that but it's true and it's an amazing book.

we read o pioneers! in english it was okay but i was still bored by it

Hm. Yeah?

Seems I was overconfident with my 'nine posts' comment.
