I guess if I had to pick a favorite captain, I would choose Picard, but that is mainly because Patrick Stewart is such an incredible actor.
I like all the captains, really, though I admit that Archer is in a lower tier than the others, but again, that is because of the acting (and possibly, the writing and directing).
