At what ? .... there's nothing to laugh at except your ignorance to whom Descartes is, and that isn't funny.
It's "funny" in that Descartes was a hack whose contributions to philosophy and the development of science, while useful in their day, is basically worthless.
Of all the intellectuals throughout history, Descartes is in the bottom ten of who I'd choose a name after.
I for one am excited about the upcoming Superman storyline; especially with the Brainiac "Oppression" teaser poster we've been seeing. Hopefully it'll involve this unknown threat within the Phantom Zone.
Personally I always hated Doomsday. He was a plot device created to have the "Death of Superman" arc to increase sales during a particularly bad point in DC's economic history. All his more recent back story just seems kind of shoe-horned in and silly.

He's no more silly than most of the characters Johns has rejuvenated during his runs on Green Lantern, the Flash and JSA. I mean the Rogues where a joke before he took over the flash, now look at them.
I challenge you to come up with a greater contribution to philosophy than the Cogito. Also moder Philosophy was basically created by Descartes. Remembering him for his mistakes is as retarded as Remembering Newton for Alchemy, or Albert Einstein for failing school.

Retardedness for the win..........
'I challenge you to tickle my hard on over Descartes by mentioning adversial methods so i can use every logical fallacy in the book that i learnt in freshmans philosophy 101 to prove my crazied fanboyism for Descartes'.

Ummm none of that made any sense ....
i do wonder why he takes a very, i dunno, sort of, superman movies-esque scenario when dealing with the daily planet... sure there's the cat grant boob bit and the chair being hv'd, but it all seemed so... i dunno...
anyways, not that it was bad, and it wasnt, it looks like its going to be awesome, and i loved the flashback to krypton...
Originally posted by RaoulJohns whole run on Action has had the movie feel, also exentuated by the fact that Donnor helped him a lot and they tossed ideas back and forth. It's probably a good thing though. This is how most casual fans know the characters. I've loved every bit of it.

yeah, it has been a regular thing... and frank's superman looking like christopher reeve only adds to the effect... i just dont want him to go too far with it... i mean, its still supposed to be a modern superman...
probably worrying about nothing, though...
Johnathan and Martha Kent got a page to themselves...incoming death.
Actions Comics lately has been amazing. I'm The Legion Arc probably hits people different ways but being fans of the characters I loved it, and 866 is Johns' Superman issue yet.
And having Frank draw Christopher Reeves is perfect for me. Reeves performance transcended the character and it will always be the iconic image of Superman.
