The empire creates a nano tech designed specifically to kill him, and lets it loose on mandalore.

honestly there needs to be peace in the SWgalaxy now. i mean come on from the time of the clone wars there has been 5 major wars.

no joke, where are these planets even getting resources to keep building ships? i mean, mon cal? aren't they pretty much done with ship building?
I thought of what Rex said about the main characters lives sucking, but what about the whole galaxy? constantly at war for about 100 years? c'mon.

1. The galaxy is screwed.
2. If there wasn't wars, it wouldn't be star wars.

I was just going to say that. It IS called Star Wars. But come on, there has not been a time of galactic peace since Palpatine received emergency powers. There has been conflict and war since 22 BBY to at least 40 ABY, and we know that the galaxy is plunged into darkness once more around 130 ABY. I doubt there is any peace between the LOTF series and the Legacy comics.

As for resources, I will plead suspension of disbelief as to where they are getting their resources. Not to mention that there are thousands of uninhabited worlds that resources could be drawn from, not to mention asteroids.

In any case, the Mon Calamari continue to build starships until 137 ABY, when the Galactic Alliance destroys their shipyards to cripple the Imperial war effort. Krayt then has ten percent of the population killed in response. They won't be making ships for awhile.

that would be awesome. I would love to see the star wars galaxy totally opressed beyond hope of revival. it would make for a heckova story too.

If the Jedi Exile died somehow earlier and Darth Nihilus was never killed, the whole galaxy would be in a hole. Because a lot of people would be dead.

would anyone be interested in a story of how these civs first discovered hyperspace anyway? i think that might be good. Is it some forgotten race, i mean, we know they had it as long ago as the Rakata empire.

My only problem with the story is the year in which it takes place. The fact that the sith are back ruling the galaxy in under 100 years of Luke's death disgusts me. It diminishes the jedi order that Luke established imo.

That's exactly the paramount issue involving Legacy. I would understand if it was 1,000 years later, but 100 years later and everything is back to the way it was? Please. Legacy authors are almost as dumb as the LOTF ones.

it makes Luke's life a waste really, he fought the dark side, and for peace for his entire life, and then its immediately back to how it was.

look at the star wars galaxy and you still find gaps of thousands of years without any huge major galaxy spanning war

Yes, but please take notice that there is very little, if any, content that takes place during these periods.

I thought about that too. But you can still have plenty of adventures in the SW universe and even violent plots without having everything turn into a galaxy wide war. I, Jedi is a pretty good example of that. I mean it was pretty much Corran & Luke vs some pirates and it made for good reading. Yeah, the New Republic was fighting the Remnant still at the time but it didn't get that wrapped up in that story. Same goes for Survivors Quest.

I think they do need to chill with the potentially Galaxy ending conflict and billions of people killing, threat to everything everyone has worked for type wars. Thats why I think the Millenium Falcon book will be a nice read, because it'll get away with that.

I have a question of my own though after finishing Invincible. What happened to Niathal? They made a vague comment about her, but that really didn't explicitly state what her individual fate was.

I assumed right about one thing though, that the end of this series would see Jag Fel running the Remnant.
