Haven't used a VHS is a very long time or owned a player, probably close to 12-13 years now. I kept one VHS tape, Disney's The Little Mermaid, because it has the very limited cover with the dildo hidden in the artwork by the disgruntled artist. Might be worth some $$$ some day.
I still have around 1,500 DVDs (in folder sleeves) in storage, but haven't really watched a DVD in years though, went fully electronic with my film library a few years back and never looked back. I still have a DVD player in storage as well.
Do wonder if VHS will have a renaissance so to speak like vinyl did in the music world. Not sure though, as vinyl has something uniquely positive to it even when compared to modern audio, while VHS really doesn't when compared to modern video. eg hook up a quality record player to high end audio equipment and the sound can be amazing. Hook up a quality VHS to top of the line 4K television set, and it's still that grainy VHS look I imagine.
