It's one of the books I'm enjoying the most from Marvel.

Here's something for Mr Master's cosmic thread. Apparently the Green suit makes him God. I know it's true, because he says it.

That's like saying it's the fart that smells the least. Sure, given a choice you'll sniff it over others, but it's just as well to be in a different room.

I was reading Thor and Nova. Then I stopped. Nova was good, but Thor's series is overrated imo. It doesn't suck so people laud it with praise. All I need to do is read any issue from the insane mythological epic-ness that was Stan's old-time run on Thor (anything pre-80's really) to realize modern isn't the same.

Meh, it's still good. Nova's better though... don't know why you'd stop reading Nova.

Ya, IMO, nothing beats old Thor (except when he got that gay belly suit).

I know how you feel. Personally I think the current Thor is great, just slooooow.....

Did anyone see Radioactive man getting his ass kicked by a regular guard? Apparently he's a wuss when you catch him off guard.

yeah he got head smashed in,suppose thats what get for threating to give everyone cancer

I wonder if it was a reference to Professor W's X-men.

"Radioactive man? Why don't you just call yourself Cancer man"

Even slow paced books are excellent when written properly. It's not always about action and the plot advancing fast.

On the other hand, when you look at the Mighty Avengers ..

Dense plot and dialogue generally make for an easier time keeping reader interest. Not always action, but something. Minimalism is only sporadically effective in such a serialized business, and fans don't usually take well to unecessarily prolonged storytelling when we're paying for each installment.

I generally don't mind "slow" plots when I've got the entire series ahead of me, but when I'm waiting for each issue it's a killer.

Right, which is why I made the comment about the serialized format of comics, and how it's not conducive to such story techniques. If you're patient enough to collect TPB's instead of each issue it can be ok sometimes though.

Yeah.

It's a pain in the butt when you're paying though.

By far and a way Marvels best book for a while. A real shame that Ellis is leaving the title. Guaranteed to go back to its traditional lameness.
