i'm not saying it isn't in bad taste...it's just, for alot of people on this board, highly hypocritical for them to criticise someone else for saying the exact same thing they have about someone else

i fear the irony of it will be lost on alot of people though

Thats why the comparison to the internet Bush jokes is moot.

None of those who made those jokes were made at a gunclub by a politician on the opposing team to the one joked about. Can't be giving those few nutters in the crowd who were actually may have already been thinking about it a message that could be seen as official/political endorsement.

anyone who jokes about the assassination of one person has no right to crticise anyone who makes the same joke about another...regardless of the circumstances
