Jason Bourne vs Daniel Craig's James Bond

3 Scenarios:

Hand to Hand fight, middle of the street, no weapons

Fight in Hotel room with attched kitchen (i.e. access to knives, pots etc)

Start out at opposite ends of the Earth with contracts to kill each other.

Who wins?

I think it would be better if you just pick a single scenario to follow. Arguing 3 different possibilities is too confusing

Bourne, Bourne, Bond.

Bond/Bond/Bourne for me

Figures.

that I'd pick the exact opposite? 😛

Bond is better at actual combat than Bourne, in my eyes. But Bourne is better at espionage.

I see it the opposite, I see Bourne a better combatant, while Bond is the better spy.

Not from what I've seen of Craig's Bond.

He was a lot better than the previous Bonds, but no match for Bourne, IMO.

srug

Pierce Brosnan was OK, but all the other bonds besides him and Craig sucked at hand to hand.

Going strictly off the movies Bourne has shown himself to better at both hand to hand and espionage, so I thought I might give him the edge in all 3 scenarios. But on second thought...

First scenario definitely goes to Bourne. The only better h2h I've ever seen in a movie was River Tam in Serenity. You could argue she possessed Jedi level precog.

Second scenario could go either way, witha slight edge to Bond. Daniel Craig's version was so much bigger and stronger than Bourne. And he had multiple scenes where it appeared reaction time and melee fighting was his strength.

Third scenario also barely goes to Bond. Bourne's the better assassin, but his resources are limited since leaving the agency. Bond has M16's full backing, not to mention "the brother's from Langley", who would be all too eager to help kill Bourne.

Craig's bond is inexperienced. He just started and didn't do so well in his one and only movie.

So: Bourne, Bourne, Bourne

If it were experienced bond:
Bourne, Bourne, Bond

Another thing to keep in consideration, is that Bond is being taken out of his element by just being placed randomly in a street or hotel. Much of his strength (movie wise referring to all Bonds, not just Craig's) comes from finding creative ways of using the technology given to him.

Incorrect. This is just talking about Craig's Bond, who so far has not used any of the technology you speak of.

Bourne on all three. Bourne was definitely a better fighter, and I think he was better at espionage than Bond. Craig's Bond was too arrogant and flashy, while Bourne was good at blending in. He would be harder for Bond to locate.

Bourne is probably more skilled and refined at H2H. But Bond is tougher, more durable, and probably stronger. I'll give it to Bourne H2H but barely.

If Bond gets MI6 and prep, then invisible cars, little nellies, and submarine cars become a asset for Bond and a serious problem for Bourne.

Would go with RJ here. Though possibly even Bourne/Bourne/Bourne.

Bourne's fighting style is inspired by jeet kune do, so, he wins all H2H fights 🙂

Bond is only the seventh best spy. I do not know where Bourne rates as best spy, but he was able to dismantle the agency that trained him.

I say Bourne wins the first two scenario's and Bond takes the third. Bond Has an outlet to endless intelligence and i would also say he probably has more connections. So, when it comes to tracking someone down, he wins.

How am I incorrect if I specified that I wasn't just talking about Craig's Bond?
