Ah... more Verhoeven.

Absolutely.

The tone of true masterpiecery.

More like the first movie and the second but less like the third.

I'd buy THAT for a dollar...

Or maybe even 2 dollars...

Indeed I would!

I'm not a fan of Verhoeven, although Robocop was allright.

in the same way that the Mona Lisa "Wasn't a bad sketch"?

Starship Troopers is another good movie of his..... shame about the sequels that they've made.

ST is lame.

No Robocop in the sense of allright. One of his better films. My problem with a lot of his films is that he has a tendency to overdo...

Basic Instinct - a lot of sex scenes that get boring and stop the narrative
Total Recall - same thing with senseless scenes of extensive shooting - stops the story for minutes evry we time get that
Starship Troopers - lots of shooting, endlessly
Showgirls - dancing all the time, more boobs...

He does know how to bore by repetition this guy.

I liked it.
The cheesy bits were kinda reflective of the apple pie eating, flag waving propaganda vibe in 40s newsreels.
Just as the news sections in Robocop instilled a parody of network news.

I also read if they were were to make it when George W Bush was president it could'nt of got made.

Well Obama more or less is a yes man to the same corporations, isn't he..?

Hehehe

Thats another thing that made Robocop genius. It's stark warnings about corporate greed and yuppieism gone mad.
It was eerily prophetic.

So was Wall Street.

Indeed. They failed to show the mass protests and brutality though...

......just like the mainstream media.. 😖hifty:

Ah...

Wall Street players have tigers blood.

Oh yes.
