I would let them die, depending on the circumstances, to save my child's life.
However, I would not kill a stranger that was not causing my child to die. (even if killing them would somehow in some contrived scenario allow my child to live.)
Where do you draw the moral line? Give me some real world scenarios, even if there are slim chanced, so that I can better qualify my position or consider altering it. Seriously, I'm far from unchangeable if presented with a good argument.
I would die to save my own kid if I had one..and would risk my life a lot for the rest of my family and my close friends who I have known for 10+ years.
anyone else..depends on the situation. I would be the guy who jumps onto the subway tracks to help someone that fell in get off them probably. I sure as hell wouldnt be the one standing there going, "wow thats awful..I wonder when the train gets here?". As long as my life isnt at a huge risk of course.
