USH'S NEW STAR WARS GAME- Starting July 2008

I noticed something odd...

The tap for Focused Blow reads "Your opponent’s Agility is reduced to zero next turn, impairing his Combat roll."

However further up it says that Combat goes off of Strength.

So...um?

Actually now I think about it it is not quite yet clear what Combat will run off. Just assume the power will zap whatever stat is used, though.

There will be no changing of Force Powers!

Some Force Powers have changed in accessibility and your characters do not have them for a reason. Bewilder/Illusion are considerably more difficult to get than Persuasion (which Gallador also had) and Quietening, and furthermore requires you to have them anyway.

I don't want this to ba a tiresome exercise in sudden character re-design! Your characters are like they were before except for Gallagher who has been de-combatted (hardly a boost).

I'm satisfied with mine, now that I know what the powers do in the new system. Galder is set and ready to chop things up.

Also, I feel there is a benefit to having a certain amount of Force points to be spent during the entire game. It keeps overt uses of our abilities special, as they were during the films.

Okay, Ush, I understand. It is just that you asked for input about the powers, am I am a bit analytical person sometimes.

And between Presence, Leadership and Charisma, Gallador is still quite charismatic. I understand that he will have Presence bonus to most social rolls? Cool. I will buy Subterfuge and Temptation when there is enough XP. Then we shall see whether Psycho Brigade will let me play an evil mastermind.

I understand that one of the reasons for reducing overall number of Force powers is the fact that there are no more Master schticks? So you have to save something for really heavy hitters like Sienar or the Lady.

That's certainly part of the reason. Whilst the Force Tree is not necessarily 100% complete, as it stands it is big enough to encompass your entire careers.

Domination... now something to strive for and not so far out of reach...

So, do we have any new Dark Side players incoming? 😛

I think most of the newer players (Craft, Jovan, Lt. Valerian) expressed interest back in the thread as Jedi/Renegades, but it looks like you're getting jedireaper on your side. Just hope he's not another Corsair, eh Collin?

Oh criminey, at least not one that isn't loyal to me...

Well, Rand definately seems powerful in new version.

Ush, on average, there will be enough XP to get one new power per episode, I assume?

sounds good,i'll join

zink,i want to join as well, and if i get to i will be a dark-sider

You realize that the four of us swordsmen in this group hold more power than you do, right? 😛

Well three of the four. Does Xavier actually have any say? 😉

True. He was sort of just drafted into the group.

"Brigade by default of Type C." Really, what's the most interesting thing he's done? Wore a Dug skin.

Admirable, but hardly a worthy list-topper.

Well, hey, you're in the same boat if we want to get technical about it 😛

The issue is that Brigade only wants to have fun and kill people, right? Someone has to devise that masterplan to rule the Galaxy... or maybe just a part of it.

I see how it's going to be 🙁

Nonsense! Dak attacked and defeated a Jedi despite never having fought one before and crashed a shopping cart into the King of Pigs and then cussed him out. Oh, and the whole "Flung into a water pump while in a murderous rage" thing.
