Respect Sebastian Faust!

Overlooked DC magician. Son of Felix Faust, he's fairly powerful in his own right.

He spends a lot of his time getting out of his father's dark shadow, and being a hero. However, his morals are more than questionable, as when he was a small child, his father sold Sebastian's soul for powers... which Sebastian ended up getting. Consequently, he has no soul, little sympathy, awesome powers, and some funky eyes.

Practitioner of black magic, he's capable of powerful things, but these often come with a price.

Immune to the Effects of the River Styx, because he has No Soul

Immune to the Soul Corrupting Effects of Michael's Spear because he has No Soul.

Some Illusory Spells. These don't phase Batman, but he's Batman.

This, however DOES fool Batman.

Now for the good stuff...

Soul Magic (Faust's Expertise)

-Copies the Physical Appearance/Abilities of a Monster with a Touch

-Always wears a pair of glasses because his eyes are glowing and odd, ever since he lost his soul.

-He can See Auras.

-Resurrects Blue Devil, using the BD's Bones.

-Reveals that he kept a bone from BD when he resurrected him so that Blue Devil would always be loyal to him.

Soul Magic (cont)

Steals the Powers of Green Lantern (Kyle) and Flash effortlessly

Merges the Soul/Mind of a Man with the Body of a Bear

Merge's Halo's Powers/Personality into the Body of another

Soul Magic (cont)

-Uses Zatanna's semantic magic and says he could tap her Soul and use it better if a Demon hadn't already sucked half of her Soul out (earlier that arc).

-Helps Looker rejoin some psyches with their bodies.

-Restarts the Fires of Hell, so that the demons are kept there. He must sacrifice his own soul, and the life of Enchantress... considering he just got his soul back, and sacrifices it willingly without prod, IMO this is a very good character strength feat.

Soul Magic (cont)

Summons some dead sorcerers and transfers ALL of their knowledge into Tempest's head.

Sucks some poor chap's Spirits out of their Bodies.

Taps into the karma/souls/good juju of the Justice League and uses the resulting powerful beam to wipe out some demons and shit.

This sort of references when he sees Wonder Woman's soul/aura, and it glows bright do to the purity and such. See the scan, a post or two above.

Faust is one of those really cool, yet sorely underused characters that I've always liked. Definitely earns my respect.

Knowledge/Proficiency/Etc.

-Better soul-mage than his pop.

-Friends with Dante (of Dante's Inferno)

I'm not writing spell for every descriptor, but almost all of these feats are accomplished through magic. Duh.

-Pwns Fauna when she's distracted (Fauna's his sister, with magical power, primarily over animals)

Soul Magic (cont)

Kobra genetically engineers a bunch of babies to become mystical WMDs. Faust strips their souls of the tainted magic rather than killing them, so they can live normal lizard-baby lives.
