Plus the whole detective story was a big balloon of hot air. It took us to many places of CGI, but in the end revealed nothing. Alle we learned from that movie is that a Clone Army was created and that Anakin and PAdme fell in love. And the latter was even one of the worst, most cringe worthy and unbelievable falling in love stories I ever saw. Leaves us with the 'shocking discovery of a clone army'.... well, boohooo.
It looked nice, but that's about it.
It set up "Who the fetts were" and showed how the military reforms that began the Emporer's armies happened, and set up the clones for the clone wars thing.... I wouldnt have put so much in with that tracing of the dart and that Dyas "mystery" though. The library scene content could have been explained quicker...
The dialogue is some of the worset Ive heard in anything ever made, in that 'love' story
The only thing I like about it is that its an Anti love story in the making. Anakin doesnt really know how to love that well, and just wants to own everything and stop everyone from leaving him. Its like one big car wreck happening from start to finish heheheheheeeeeeee
Its also like their relationship: Over in three years, it had to be uber sickeningly intense in order to fall to far a short time later, as it often does in life.. Which appeals to the more cynical side of my nature.
Die, pigbastard lovers with your illogical homones, diiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Hahhahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
🙂
Indeed. Because it wasnt when it should have been.
All that crass, irritating, vomit inducing lovesick puppy shit that we outgrow with the reality of life. You see it in young couples all the time and then a couple of months later they are at each others throats hating each other. A lot of people (particularly early on) use the word love without actually realising what that truly entailed. And that was well shown at least.
Some people are just in love with the idea of being in love without realising the hard side of the reality when it happens..
Its all about love as it shouldnt be going wrong.
PT is all about things going wrong eventually through bad choices.
OT is all about things going right eventually through good choices.
I agree... He should have given Anakin his hero status in the movies, and the he-was-a-good-friend bit. That alone should have comprised an entire movie but slow understones of a gifted padawan who is increasingly better than his master.
What I also really missed was perhaps an entire episode about OB1 trying to turn Anakin... "OB1 once thought as you did..." Those few lines from the OT seemed to reveal an entire world of conflict and deep seeded emotion of which we basially saw NOTHING. That bugs me.
Agreed on all points.
The "Obiwan once thought as you did" bit was gonna be explained, I thought, by Kenobi trying to lure him back to the light side (Which was looking possible in the context of his and Luke's conversation in ROTJ.) but Kenobi proceeded, after the temple strike, straight to "Im gonna kill Anakin"... weirdski.
😂 That had better be explained in the live action series, although that is unlikely. They may attempt to address it in the CGI Clone Wars thing in some other way.
Also it'd be nice if they could address exactly how and when Kenobi served Bail Organa in the Clone Wars.
Caus eif that service simply was Kenobi and Yoda letting Bail have Leia, Im gonna be pissed.
