Racer X/Shooting Star Vs. Batman/Batmobile

Over any given day, in a race which consists of one part race track, one part cityscape.

Racer X is racing his street mode shooting star with fully operational weapons while Batman is using his regular Batmobile from the very first Tim Burton film modded to keep up with the speeds of Speed Racer vehicles.

I'd have to hand it to Batman, I mean, throughout the racing bits, Racer X might outclass him, however the genius thinking of Bruce would perhaps cause Racer X the race and perhaps even his life.

So it's a death match? No holds barred?

Correct. Not that Batman would allow that sorta thing, but a victory can be achieved by either finishing the race or eliminating them.

What are the weaponry/gadgets specs on the shooting star?

Gattling gun enclosed in the car's main frame. Rocket launchers doubling as exhaust pipes. Scissors stashed underneath the front bumper and internal jumping jacks.

I gotta go with Racer X then. For the simple fact that he is in fact a professional racer, whereas Batman, while having kickass driving skills, isn't on the same level as X, IMO.

Most races are planned, very few are just spontaneous. Given the fact that Racer X from the live action film was very in touch to his former self in the toons, his pride and honor would've also allowed the agreement of this race, therefore Batman would simply use one of his EX model Batmobiles. There was one that had a jet engine for super speeds. The cityscape might prove to be too difficult for Racer X.

I was under the impression that both vehicles could attain the same speed.

Not at first. The vehicles located within toon-canon achieved speeds of up +850mph. The Racer X depicted in the live action movie, had a car that was slowndown to keep realism.

850 mph? JEEZUZ.....I didnt know that. Can the Bat handle a car at that speed?

With proper modifactions yes. Bats has at least one Batmobile that can achieve those speeds.

In the Tim Burton Movie?

No in the comics, in the Tim Burton film, he had the bat pod that was able to achieve fast speeds at the sacrifice of maneuverability.

I thought we were talking movies only.

How the FVCK can someone handle a car at those speeds?

Yeah, movies only. Top speeds for both vehicles are around +230-300mph.

still gonna go with X.

I think Bats would take this, he wouldn't necessarily let X die, however he'd find a way to cripple his vehicle, you know, somethin' nonthreatening.

the dark knight wouldn't have a problem with it 😉

going from what i have seen in the speed racer cartoons, Those cars drive on walls and up mountains at top speed...,so, racerX

Well yeah, but he's constantly brooding about after. Even in the first couple of issues of the comics, he had a Bat-Gun which he used to....bat-shoot people dead with. However, it's not his nature, kinda of like how Spider-Man always takes the blame for everything, he doesn't mind, he's used to it, but it just happens.

In a given race, I do think X would take it, but on city street Bats outsmart.

Ah, imagine the sloppy, tumbler Vs. the Mach 5, slow as shit, but it can roll right over that Mach 5.

well, the Bat DOES have the defensive shell.
