i think it will work, the karmic blast has cut through supposed invulnerability before and that attack harms the soul directly, and the soul-suck is a much stronger attack.

anything with a soul is fare game for the soul gem, and any soul can be altered permanently that is why warlock tries his best not to use it often.

The scan says G has no soul, but he does have a spirit [on the level of Eternity/Infinity]. Apparently the 'infinite' power of the gem can't affect a being's spirit? Stupid.
