Mordeth and Behemoth walked along side each other, ready to call out Nakir for one final fight "my faithful pet, this could be the last time we see each other alive. both of us could perish today. i want you to know how much of an honor it was working with you. and you..." he looked at Gean "if i don't come out alive, i want you to know how much i love you and always will. i'm sorry i was too late to tell you how i feel about you. but its always too late for me to say things..." he looked at the gates, and smiled "Nakir, i have come to fight you one last time"
Nakir looked up at him wearily from where she sat. "Yes.. I know you have.. But I do not want to fight you, Mordeth."
Gean put a hand on her stomach and thought about what Ezekiel had said. Was she really carrying his child? She shook her head and kissed Mordeth on the cheek. "You will not die... I wont have it."
Mordeth looked at Gean and then back at Nakir "then give me my weapons, and i'll leave peacefully. no killings here...you have my word." he looked down at Gean and knew she was thinking of what the half-breed said "i think he's lying...i hope he's lying." he looked back at Nakir and waited patiently
The woman in front of him stood silent after what he had said. Maybe she had not know his victory against his mentor Metatron? Nonetheless, she was not moving. Suddenly he felt a disturbance He turned to serg.
''I have sensed something troubling. Serg, if you will, go to Kaiisura ans Shadow. I do not know what is happeneing but something is strange. Serg, do whatever it takes. They must not die.''
While the old lady was in a trance, he thought of doing one of his own. Following the golden sphere, he followed Gean' thoughts. And he spoke to her:
''My love, please reason with Mordreth. What he is doing is folly, and if he succeeds, he could ruin chances for this world to be better. Do whatever it takes.''
Nakir sighed and pushed herself to her feet, walking over and pulling Mordeth's weapons out of the clouds at her feet. She was dangerously close to him now. "Very well... Here." She handed him his weapons. "Now leave... Stop your mindless killing and return to hell."
Gean nodded and looked up at Mordeth. "My love... Please.. Let's go back to hell... We'll make things the way they were again." She smiled faintly and waited.
Nakir turned and started back towards the gates, trusting Mordeth enough to turn her back on him.
Mordeth looked at Gean then at Nakir and closed his eyes. he held his blades in an attacking stance but didn't move "this could end the war right here but...then" he looked down at Gean "why don't you want me to kill her? she's caused you much pain and suffering. but now you don't want me to kill her." he looked at Nakir "if you cherish your life, you would stop right there!"
Mordeth looked at gean then looked back and threw one of his scimitars through Nakir's back. he wasn't sure what he hit but he knew it did damage. he called back the blade and caught while he ran. he grabbed Gean and climbed Behemoth "now we can go" he grimaced and knew his eyes were glowing brighter
Gean screamed and struggled to get free of his grip. "Mordeth! Mordeth no why did you do that!" She tried to crawl out of his hand to go help Nakir.
Nakir screamed when the scimitar completely pierced her torso. She fell to her knees and gripped the tip that was sticking out of her stomach. She let out another scream when the blade pulled from her body, falling to her stomach as a pool of blood slowly formed beneath her. Her blood fell as Hail to earth. With each scream a bolt of lightning and a deafening crash of thunder would roll across the forests and mountains.
Mordeth looked ahead and nowhere else "she was meant to die, just like the rest of us." he knew Gean didn't have the same feelings like she used too, not since the half-breed came into her life. "this what must happen. there is no such thing as peace and you know it" he tugged Behemoth's mane harder and the great beats ran faster
Ezekiel sensed a disturbance. He left the house where the old was meditating. He would come back later. There could only be one explanation, he thought, as he flew to Heaven.
''Gean, Ezekiel linked to her, get away from Mordreth. Come to me!''
he arrived at the steps of Heaven, and saw Nakir covered in blood.
''Nakir, what happened?''.
Gean looked up at Mordeth. "What are you going to do?"
Men rushed to Nakir's side. There was so much damage to her body it was over whelming. They picked her up and rushed her off to the medic's tent. She'd spend hours under the knife. It would take three days for her to be completely fixed up, and longer for her to fight again.
