Salmo swung his cleaver upwards behind himself deflecting the katana, then with his other hand, he stuck a knife that was poisoned with paralysis in to a main artery in her arm. He watched it become numb and start flapping. She still had her other arm though. This fight wasn't over yet. "Ha! are all angels this weak?"
serg's eye's narrowed into slits for a moment. "very well." he stood and made his way out of the chamber. minutes later, he appeared outside of mordeth's room. he tried once again to knock on the door, this time without scratching it. when there was no answer he opened it and let behemoth inside. "stay with gean" he closed the door and teleported to the battlefield.
kaiisura jumped infront of the flames, "Saizure! I wont let him hurt you!" Saizure jumped off of the demon and takled serg, he jumped out of serg's grasping area, flipped and sunk his teeth into his back. "You will not hurt m'lady! not while I'm around!" he exclaimed. He had injured the other demon enough to keep him down for awhile.

((Is this the Christian God? As in, is Jesus up there aswell or is this our own depicton of God, also is the thread starter playing him?))The realm Nex now inhabited was like a long tunnel of clouds- dark grey mist swirled in a continuous circle. All around him there were crys of anguish, of hurt and pain. This was a netherworld, it did not exist in any form other than the minds of the departed souls.
A dark shadowy figured sat, hunched in the edge of the tunnel- his head resting on his arms...
"Most people tend to walk to the end...yet you've always just sat there" whispered Nex to the shadowy figure. The person looked up, it was Ezekiel.
With a smile, Ezekiel stood up and came closer to his old friend.
''Well, I guess I never quite liked to get to the end of things. What fun is there, when no more challenges lay before us. Isn't that something you've told me a long time ago?''
Ezekiel has been here in the past. This realm he was in, he wasn't afraid of it, nor did he understand what is was exactly. But he didn,t care. For many years, Nex has been the father he had lost many years again. His knowledge of death seconded Nex, or at least how much it was possible for a creature of his standards to understand.
'' Of course, you do know that it was not my intention to die coming here... so to speak'' he said with a grin.
But now, a ritual was in order. To ask Nex to return was to show him he still has a place living. Touching Nex's hand, he let Death take control of his mind and spirit, opening everything to him, feelings, facts, history, everything he ever felt or learned, or lived. Nex's power was a strange one. Ezekiel never knew how he managed to know these things, he just knew.
As Nex was searching through him, Ezekiel asked him, mentally, some questions, more or les coherent.
'' Am I truly Satan's grandson? How is it possible?... How can I.. kill Satan?.. S..Should I? What is my place in this world? To be against angels and demons alike?... Gean! How is she? Will I see her again? Does she want to...''
And, as usual, such connected strengh with Nex drove him to unconsciousness. Normally when he would wake up, he would be in the world of the living again, with Nex saying few but powerful words before dissapearing into the nothingless. Or would he have to continue, for the first and last time, the path to the other side of the Realm and leave everything behind. He knew Nex's kindness to him could not alter his duty as Death. Finally, Ezekiel closed his eyes and there was nothing.
The memories flowed quickly through Nex's mind. This was not a difficult procedure, but with Ezekiel's unique past it could be a long one, which would take its tole on Ezekiel.
As various flashes flowed from Ezekiel to Nex the Reaper began to grow more and more concerned.
However, it was not the memories of Ezekiel himself that raised his attention but rather, the memories of an entity he had been in contact with. Satan.
The Devil and Nex had long been acquainted- indeed it was impossible for the bringer of death and the Prince of Hell not to meet but Satan had always maintained a distance from Nex. No doubt he was angered when Nex refused to join him in the battle on Heaven- despite Nex's trouble with the angels he never took sides, his deep loyalty, not to God, but to the system of order in the universe prevented him from ever choosing one or the other.
Yet, Nex had another loyalty. Perhaps with every departed soul he encountered- and at some point he encountered them all- a small spark of their nature was left imprinted on him. He knew all too well he could not have true emotions but he was attached and quite protective of the Humans.
He and Ezekiel had discussed it before, Ezekiel always suggested that because Nex was so devoted to the natural order he didnt like supernatural interference in the affairs of the Mortal Realm. However, Nex knew this was not the full explanation there was something else- a part of him that grew stronger every generation- almost a sense of humanity.
Perhaps it was this strange attachment to the mortals combined with some of Satan's plans which Nex glimpsed through Ezekiel's memories that drove him to his next course of action.
Nex existed to maintain order, to keep the scales in balance...for the first time he was about to go against that order...he griped his scythe and hit the butt of it straight into the sleeping Ezekiel's chest. Ezekiel fell through the clouded tunnel- falling for what seemed like an eternity he landed on the roof of a small cottage in Sicily.
"Go, and fulfill a new destiny" Whispered Nex into Ezekiel's ear as he slowly gained consciousness "I will return when I have found out what it is we have to do" Nex turned and disappeared into the shadows.
A disorientated Ezekiel began to come round.
Ezekiel rose from the ground. At lest he didn't fell in something disgusting.
''Thank you Nex, we will meet again'', he whispered.
But there was no time waiting. As soon as his strengh recovered, he flew back to the battlefield. There was someone he had to see. He wondered if she forgot about the meeting or not. Well, as he arrived, he thought, I'll see in a few minutes.
