His spirit energy was concentrated, and the Blast shot from Yusuke's fingertips.
Yusuke was shocked to hear Predecessor speak up yet again, this time with more of a ferocious tone. From behind his metallic mask, the Predecessor's voice was an ominous and empty one. And what Predecessor said only increased the amount of Yusuke's shock once again. Did he say infinity? How can a person die an infinite amount of times? His mind racing, Yusuke figured that Predecessor was either some sort of immortal, or that he wasn't a person at all. And if that was the case, it gave some sort of clue and meaning behind the strange spiritual energy emanating out from inside of Predecessor's giant armor.
"So You've died a couple times yourself huh? Well then I hope you won't mind if I put you through that just one more time!" Yusuke yelled, as his fingertips smoked from his previous Spirit Gun shot. With eagerness, Yusuke looked to see if his shot would hit, and whether or not his opponent would do what Yusuke was hoping...but unfortunately, he would have to unleash his plan some other way.
Yusuke's dark eyebrows narrowed in irritation, disappointment and intrigue all at once. Instead of using his oversized shield to defend himself from the Spirit Gun, Yusuke's opponent had decided to throw his shield away from him, apparentely irked by the Spirit Gun's true intentions. With what natural defense he had from his armor, Yusuke's opponent took the Spirit Gun head on, and the ex-spirit detective couldn't help but flinch as he saw how much damage his attack had done...
In a bright blue flash that Yusuke had become all too familiar with, his opponent let out a roar that would make even the most fearsome beast tremble. Shielding his eyes with his arm, Yusuke stood his ground, as the dust and dirt blew all around him from the spot, the resulting of firing his Spirit Gun at such a high speed. Caught in the middle of the blinding blue flash, Yusuke's opponent was somewhere in the eye of the storm, surrounded by smoke and the flying ash. Still, Yusuke's warrior spirit spoke to him, and he could tell that his attack had hit his opponent, and hit him deep. As the dust began to settle, Yusuke's eyes began to make out the frame of his opponent.
Yusuke smiled again, his eyebrow raised. The spirit gun had caused his opponent to fall heavily to his knees. And that was only the first shot. And as a rule of thumb, Yusuke never fired a full powered spirit gun on the first shot. His opponent was in for a world of hurt. The arena cleared of its dust, and his opponent fell flat, apparentally exasperated. Quickly, Yusuke noticed his opponent took a second to check on the safety of his shield, a fact that Yusuke took note of...Then, Yusuke felt his opponents eyes upon him. And again, the armored giant spoke up.
"Do you REALISE what you almost did?"
His opponent's voice was snarling, and Yusuke for a second thought that his eyes glew red. Angrily, his opponent slammed his fists into the ground. And Yusuke.....laughed?
With a dope-ish grin that only a teenager would wear during a fight, Yusuke put his hands around the back of his head in a relaxed position. Almost non-chalantly, Yusuke responded quickly.
"hahaha. Of course I know what I'm doing. Now you should know more than ever - I'm serious about winning this tournament. And I've got the stones to go all the way with it."
