Height: Who get is right?

Forgive me if a thread like this already exists, but for several years now, I've been annoyed by the fact that many artists have a problem depicting height in comics. I'm fully cognizant of creative license and what not but many seem to overlook the appropriate height of a character. For example, I've read X-books where Wolverine is nearly as tall as Beast who is supposed to be 5' 11". Jim Lee always seems to get his heights right. He usually draws Batman an inch shorter thank Clark who's 6' 3".

Adam Kubert got his shit right too. I'm fairly sure all of us are familiar with this hilarious and famous comic page from Wolverine Vol.1 #93. Juggernaut easily towers over the runt. Wolverine looks 5'3" and Juggernaut looks 6'10"-7' feet tall:

Other artists though, can't seem to get the heights right for characters like Colossus, Cyclops, Cable et al.

It might seem trivial but it's important to me that character's height is well represented. Anyone else have any thoughts on the subject?

I'm a height fetishist as well...I prefer it when characters are drawn correctly according to their size

wolverine is almost never drawn as 5'3 though

Especially not in Origins. 🙁

I'd also like a mod to fix the error I made it the title.

they may as well do whatever the hell they want with wolverine...cuz he's just like spiderman, always in creepy, pseudo menacing crouching positions.... i do remeber a few yrs ago in an xmen comics somebody had a supposedly 5'10 Ben grimm standing shoulder to shoulder with a 7'1 colossus

The only thing I really don't like is when characters like Juggernaut and Hulk are so huge and/or fat. Sometimes their hands are bigger than the other characters and they are far larger than vehicles.

Especially in the covers.

I think there will never be a consistant look for any character, too many artist come and go....i would also like the proper height to be displayed, but i would not expect it to happen unless an artist sticks with a character and only he can draw him or her 😬

I always liked when Juggernaut was drawn to, or around, this overall size:

I think he looks nicely proportioned. Not too big, not too small.

======

However, there's been several instances where he looks absolutely ridiculous, and WAY overdone - here's a few of those:

Yeah they are actually awful.

I was thinking the same thing. The first one looks like a a pile of crap.

Wow. It's like they somehow got 3 or 4 guys to draw that one picture and they all went their own direction.

Kubert is one of the greatest.

Juggernaut is often depicted as being 10' tall.

Well Yeah...maybe with the newer wolverine comics.

Did anyone else notice just how out of proportion Lobo was drawn here?

Looks like a damn albino Hulk. 👇

wolverines hieght is always an issue to me when they make him the same height as others that should be much taller then him

i remember back in the onslaught fiasco, jean grey had to read his mind and when she sat next to him and placed her hands on his temples i almost freaked out. dude's head was pretty much the same size as her whole body. his mandible alone was as long as her whole torso.

True. Though in the Enemy of the State/Agent of Shield storyline there was a funny scene where he was quite rightly dwarfed by Elektra.
