Yeah, it's the fact that act 2 mobs are fast, jump from outside the screen, burrow and ambush you and all kinds of nasty surprises and then hit for 3x the damage of act 1 mobs, have 2x the health and attack in groups and seem to be AI programmed to run to other mobs and pull the whole map. And DO NOT get me started with inferno Belial. Guy took like 50 tries for me to kill. Sigh.
Like I said, it's fukd up.
Oh, and for people having problems with Hell difficuty:
!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!
Do not read if you do not wish to skip content.
Spoiler:
Look for a weapon in AH with "level restriction lowered", buy it. Have friend skip you to: Act 2. Lt. Vachem. Repeat quest over and over (takes 2 mins). 50k xp reward per reset. Do it over and over. Get to 60, spend 100k gold on a 750 dps weapon, Profit. :-p

I am playing as a Demon Hunter, so of course I'm not playing a Barbarian 😛 I don't like playing melee in games. Ranged or magic all the way. Diablo is the reason I love playing rogue-types in games so much 😛
A choice I am now regretting, honestly. I wish I would have played as Demon Hunter on my first play-through. 🙁

I also kept upgrading my armor and weapons obsessively, and sticking gems in everything as I picked them up - this is what I was at by the end. I'm not sure where that lies in terms of being bad or good, but not a whole lot could touch or damage me appreciably and I was taking out most enemies with a single Bola Shot + Rapid Fire 😛
Well, I will tell you: your DPS/Damage is almost twice what mine was when I was level 32 and I was playing in Hell mode, at the time. That's quite good, imo. However, I was playing like an idiot with crap equipment. 😐

I found Izual to be the most difficult boss, simply because of everything else that was going on. Yay for Vault to keep me off the frozen areas 😛
In Nightmare, the hardest boss, for me, was the Demon Boss you fight right when you get to Heaven. I don't remember that boss' name but it took like 5 tries with my Barb to defeat him.

Thanks for the tip. I will give your idea a try.

Sweet, commodity auctions are working. Just as I was doing a massive equipment upgrade, too!And...you couldn't have been playing Hell at level 32. You have to complete Nightmare and be level 50 for it to unlock.
I meant nightmare, not Hell. lol
I finished normal at 26. I finished Nightmare at ...like...46???

Wow, did you just speed through everything?
The first play through, yes, the second play through, no.

I'm towards the end of Act II on Nightmare and I'm at level 41 right now. And I haven't even come close to doing all of the side dungeons and quests (I even wound up skipping about a quarter of Act I).
I am in act 1, still, of Hell. I am level 52. Leveling takes longer and longer the higher your level goes, even with the boosted XP coming in at higher difficulties.
Heh, yeah, I've definitely noticed that leveling slows down quite a bit. Annoying, really - I hate that sort of thing in games. I'd rather it stay steady.
I'm in no real rush to speed through the remaining difficulties, though. I'm not like a few of my friends that rushed to Inferno because they wanted to build up a stash of stuff for when the real-money auction house goes online, I just want to enjoy myself.

I agree.
And I think that Diablo III should have constant leveling up to like...level 100. Basically, there should be weapon caps (like, a maxed out weapon...but with random stats so people can still choose what type of weapon) but the ability to defeat enemies should be based more on your allocation of stats and how you "built" your character rather than making it based solely on equipment.
I grow tired of being killed in 2 seconds by elites in only Hell difficulty. If I want to grind and reply easier quests so I can beat later levels, I should be able to do so (you can...but the ease of which you can level is greatly diminished unless you play at the hardest quest and difficulty available due to the XP gained being greater at higher levels.) If I level from 50 to 55, I should be much stronger than before: enough so that if I fought the same elites at 50 that were two shotting me, I should be able to defeat them with moderate difficulty. Instead...they still two-shot you even if you massively upgrade your equipment. 😬
I know, people complain about needing higher difficulty. Okay. Great. You want to play a game so difficult that it forces you to play in a group OR get lucky if you play by yourself.
Maybe it is that I want the game to be about both stats and equipment. But I know Blizzard is really counting on their "for money" auction house. So stats are set in stone and equipment varies greatly.
I am level 53 and I still see weapons with a DPS with less than 50. WTF? Unfortunately, WoW has taught us that people will play games for hundreds to thousands of hours, grinding, just to get specific equipment items. I'm just whining, at this point. Whining because the masses don't play games the way I would like them.

I rushed through normal and took my time in Nightmare. Hell...I have no choice but to take my time. I literally cannot beat some groups of blues or yellows (champions or elites? I have no idea what the terms people use to describe them).

I found leveling in D3 to be a fairly trivial matter. You'll be 60 before you know it.In other news: Inferno Belial is fun.
But I seriously doubt that people like Peach and I have the time to play the game as much as you do. Maybe if the game wasn't so linear and simplistic, I could enjoy playing the game for 5-6 hours a day, just playing through them. However, I can only play about an hour or 2 a day, at the most, before I get bored.
Hey, it's better than trying to level up in Borderlands. 😐
I find the leveling in Borderlands and the equipment seeking to be very similar in "feel" to Borderlands.
Equipment randomly generates with random stats. You can play through the game multiple times to get a higher difficulty, harder enemies, and better equipment. Your weapons are given a DPS and "firing" rate. It takes a long arse time to max our your player and it seems that the max level was 61 (now it is 70) in Borderlands, too. You can trade equipment in borderlands. There are "chests" of items in borderlands.
I would say that Borderlands does a better job of implementing a "similar" system to Diablo III and it feels "fresher" or is easier to play. You can also play with up to 3 other players and that raises the difficulty of the enemies and weapons dropped. The items dropped, however, in Borderlands is the same across all 4 players. So Diablo III does a better job of making the loot unique to each person's game rather than forcing all 4 to fight over games.
Did anyone else, besides me, get the feel of Diablo III being similar to some aspects of Borderlands?
