I know what fetishes, foreplay, being turned on, and getting in the mood are. However, being turned on and and getting in the mood are not mutually exclusive, rather, they are synonymous. This is why I'm confused. Why does being mentally/physically stimulated towards sex differ from being mentally/physically stimulated towards sex?

Sure, executing a fetishism and being turned on are not necessarily the same thing....I follow you guys there.
