Starbucks is tanking.

Starbucks is awesome,

they have a shop on every block for a reason😂

Meh, they are okay, I've been in maybe 5 or 6 of them in different countries and...they just aren't that special...personally I think their success is mostly their style, similar to iPods (though those are still kinda sweet).

I really have no idea why they're so popular. They charge you up the ass for some something you can at home for free. Not only that, when you look at the ingredients of many of the drinks, the percentage of actual coffee isn't that much.

And that reason would be greed. Of course, I don't think there'll be a "shop on every block" for long.

If this kind of rational and obvious thought process takes root in society WE ARE SURELY DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to worry, stupid and thoughtless people will always be there to lower the curve.

Well, some of their drinks are clearly intended to only be slightly coffee flavoured, so I get that, I suppose. Still...I don't know what Starbucks actually offers that I can't have anywhere else, including my home for much less money at about the same, if not better standard. I guess laptops with douchebags attached to them....but who the **** wants that?

Well that's what they get for having multiple Starbucks within seeing/ walking distance of each other. I think I remember hearing that there's at least 100 of them hear just in Austin city limits. Absurd.

It is crazy, you are never more than 100 feet away from a Starbucks...haha

You should see college campuses in the U.S. ...

They muscle-out mom&pop coffeeshouses, which are cheaper and better anyways.

"Muscle out" probably mostly means that jackasses (90% of the population) rather go there for shallow reasons making it hard for more old fashioned coffee shops to survive.

Still kinda sad to see, I suppose.

They want a monopoly on coffee outlets. It's the same thing Wal-Mart does to small businesses.

When it comes to coffee chains: Late For the Train > Starbucks.

well i can proudly say that i've never bought anything from or even been in a startbucks at any point in 29 years of life...and nor will i ever go in a starbucks ever

i even refused to go meet a woman i knew because she wanted to meet in a starbucks

i hate the entire coffee shop "culture" and shit corporate americanisation of my country...i hate everything that starbucks and the saying "oh-my-god" represents....

i hope they all burn to the ground

wow...that started off reasonably pleasant and just ended up full of hatred...i even surprised myself with that

That was neat. Talk about necrophilia and let's see where that goes

Well, I am sure they want that...heck, I want a ****ing coffee monopoly.

They are just way closer to achieving it.

I don't like coffee, so don't really go in there. However, when I do, it's full of some of the most annoying, pretentious tossers I've ever come across.

I am never surprised by your hatred, in fact I find it entertaining.

I encourage you to embrace it and let it nourish your soul....and would you like a coffee to wash it down?

"nourish"??? 😆

But yeah, I that guy is good people.

I remember people talk loud in startbucks. Maybe to get attention.

Yes....nourish:
nour·ish Pronunciation[nur-ish, nuhr-]
–verb (used with object)
1. to sustain with food or nutriment; supply with what is necessary for life, health, and growth.
2. to cherish, foster, keep alive, etc.: He had long nourished the dream of living abroad.
3. to strengthen, build up, or promote: to nourish discontent among the workers; to nourish the arts in one's community.

Yes he is, but so many people don't like me that I have a very small pool of people who I can actually judge as "good people", so my opinion really counts for sh*t in that regard.

I've only entered a Starbucks three times in my life.

Each time I've lost a bit of my soul each time. I can't stand that place.

This funny piece is the best thing to come out of starbucks. http://www.holytaco.com/2008/05/21/8-types-of-annoying-people-youll-find-inside-starbucks/

Give me one of these people any day over a person who would actually take the time to write something like this. It sounds like a person who thinks way too much about "clever" ways to put people down.

That's what a lot of comedy's based on. I'm sure Starbucks customers aren't losing sleep over an internet blog.
