Thoughts on T. Boone Pickens' Energy Plan?

Has a lot to do with using wind energy, its a broad video, but it looks good if it is actually possible.

If only windpower didn't take up so much acreage and you didn't have the occassional broken one (seriosuly, the couple of windfarms I've driven by multiple times have always had at least 3 or 4 of them not in operation due to lost props). I can only see windpower as being a supplemental source of power, and not a major source. Nuclear ftw. And then Nuclear fusion ftw after that.

Why not copy Brazil? We have the land for it. With all they're sugar plantations already in existence, we can give HI a use other than being a check to Asian expansion.

in terms of energy production wind will be a good source but i personally think offshore is a better option if it can be implemented certain areas

can you imagine harnessing developing hurricanes?...we're always told they have the power of 100 hiroshima bombs...why not harness that energy by having wind turbines as well as wave turbines in the same locations in the ocean

also...in terms of onshore turbine farms...i think that the turbines should be alternated with another development which are effectively artificial trees with calcium carbonate mesh's that extract carbon dioxide from the wind as it passes through it...

here's an example of what they are
