Overrated?

Is luke really the best, or just overrated?

Do u think luke is the best jedi, or just overrated?

He's the most powerful force user in the star wars mythos. I don't see how he could be overrated seeing as how he's the son of the chosen one and became what Vader could have been.

No, he IS the best. Sadly.

Agreed

He's top tier, for sure. It's hard to gauge his powers accurately. As a combatant, he's probably the best, though he's yet to actually demonstrate intense destructive power with the Force.

While there are certain people that can compete with him- especially in the context of a pure lightsaber duel- it's more than likely that Luke is the most powerful force user in Star Wars history. But he's not exactly invincible.

No, Luke is not overrated. He's the grandson of the Force, and represents what Anakin could have been had he not been dark/whiny/a jerk.

His LOTF incarnation is, to date, the most powerful Force user in SW history.

I believe that the only one whom would be able to challenge luke in the force would be the dark empire incarnation of darth sidious.

Who, not whom.

Both. :/

What??!?!!?

Oh, almost forgot, this is the EU forum.

People generally don't seem to have a lot of respect for the more obscure characters of the mythos. Yuuzhan'tar, the Force Sensitive planet that was capable of blocking the Force from trillions of Force Sensitive Yuuzhan Vong takes the #1 spot. Nobody else can be said to reach that level of power.

Cuz you know, a planet is considered a person nowadays.

A living, sentient planet could be classified as a person, yes, though I'm not seeing where that word was brought up and how it reflects on a possible error in my post. Explain, and do it quickly.

I thought that the Yuuzhan Vong lost their Force connection because the planet which had given it to them was destroyed.

But besides, it still isn't a person. And no one cares about destroyed enemy planets from another galaxy. Boring.
