Most recent issue of Superman/Batman. Look who has top billing, 😉.
Seriously, Batman would have no chance against Superman without a serious level of prep!
It is that simple.
I could go into great lengths to explain that (and I am certain I have done so in the past), but let me distil that into a few simple sentences.
The only way Batman manages to mess with Superman is simply because Superman is a good guy. That's it.
However in a KMC battle, Superman would be blood-lusted, and would thoroughly and absolutely devastate Batman into mush.
This is a FACT that has even been baked into the comics themselves ....for instance in Batman: Hush, when a chemically seduced Superman (via kryptonite-laced lipstick worn by Poison Ivy, which she was using to control him) was ordered by Ivy to kill Bruce and Selina (Catwoman).
Bruce came up with a quick plan, and it largely worked. He used sonics , electricity (enough to suck a city dry), and even a Kryptonite ring ....before finally knocking Superman out of his trance by having Selina throw Lois out of a high building (making Superman save her).
Anyways, the main thing is that in the comic, Batman was stated thinking that Superman could instantly win the fight and squish him into the cement using a burst of super-speed, but that he did not do so ...and moreover, that he was HOLDING BACK and trying to fight the stuff Poison Ivy had done to him. Even when Bruce took out the Kryptonite ring, he commented (when Superman used super-breath to freeze his hand and the ring) that Superman was still fighting hard against ivy and still holding back.
Superman could have ended that fight ANYTIME had he been truly bloodlusted (instead of fighting control from Ivy).
It would not matter if Bruce had a kryptonite ring, or a suit made of kryptonite. A person who can survive a point-blank NUCLEAR explosion, while in the throes of KRYPTONITE poisoning, is not going to be stopped from killing you by a small kryptonite ring.
If Superman was truly blood-lusted, Batman would not have a chance.
The only things that helps Batman are:
i) The fact that Superman does not want to kill him
ii) Prep.
And the first reason is the MOST important ....the second one just gives Batman a way to win.
Like I said on another thread ....facing off against a blood-lusted Kryptonian is not a good idea, unless you are one of a number of characters who are even worse than a blood-lusted Kryptonian (e.g. blood-lusted Thanos).
I love Bruce, but he would not survive. BatGod or not.
