what annoys me more is the use of irrelevant stock photography.

for instance in this article they post a pic of penguins in a pool at the zoo...just in case you're to ****ing stupid to know what a penguin is. one time though there was an article (forget which major media outlet) with an article concerning whales. anyway they posted a picture of a whale shark. this is stupidity on a level which makes my temples and the backs of my eyeballs pulse with pain.

stupidity, ignorance or some lazy worker who just googled some pictures to put in the article. People should know what they are talking about if they write articles.
