he had his chance in TDK as that reporter

Here's my idea-

The background for the next flick is this. 18 Years before Dark Knight, Harvey Dent had an illegitimate daughter with a prostitute who died in childbirth, the shame of which was the cause of his personality issues. To hide this and protect his reputation, the girl, Duela Dent, was adopted by Dent's friend and political ally, Jervis Tetch (Mad Hatter in the comics). Duela turned out to be a child prodigy and Tech used her in order to secretly run a massive criminal empire, all the while carrying on a twisted pedophile relationship with Duela, resulting in her growing attached to him and developing compulsive tendencies. Tech is elected mayor on an anti-Batman platform.
At the beginning of the flick, Batman exposes Tetch who is killed in police crossfire during a standoff. All the dark details are exposed, including Dent's parentage with Batman becoming a public hero and Dent secretly wrestling control of the underworld mobs as The Riddler.

This Riddler would be female (as in Duela Dent being called Riddler's Daughter briefly in the comics). She would be played by a dark attractive actress like Fairuza Balk but wouldn't conform to any cliches. She would be compulsive with a subtle riddle tendency and certain OCD symptoms but still as dangerous, intelligent and unpredictable as the Joker but with a completely cold dead demeanor. She wouldn't be very mobile, being incontinent and crippled from years of sexual abuse, walking with the trademark riddler cane but is skilled enough to beat Batman in combat while standing in one place and with very little movement.

Thoughts?

I'm not a big fan of the idea of a female Riddler in a movie. But the part that gets me most is the part where Dent had a illegitimate daughter with a prostitute. I like the idea in Dark Knight where Dent is pretty much pure and the Joker turned him. Saying Dent had an illegitimate daughter before Joker came around kind of underminds that idea.

I don't think it does. It explains his temper and his dark side.

I just like the idea of Joker turning somebody pure into somebody impure. The prostitution thing makes it so he had a sketchy past, and thus was not a pure person turned by the Joker.

Or maybe that he just made on mistake and that one hidden shame is what gave him his compulsive temper. The temper that made him pull a gun on an innocent man.

My top three

Riddler
Black Mask
Catwoman

And Two-Face is my second favorite villain and I after I saw TDK I was hoping he would somehow come back, but I've accepted that his story is done. What's left to do with him anyway? The only thing he would do is commit more murders because he is mad.

I think Harvey's wounds from the fire were terminal in themselves given that he refused skin graphs and infection would have set in. I don't think he was kidding when he said he was half dead. I think he knew he was going to die and wanted to settle scores first. That's why he said, "There is no escape." So it is not the fall alone, it is all these things combined. Bringing Two-Face back would ruin the theme Nolan had running in TDK

Come on, yeah we got very little of Two-Face but the way the character was set up, there was nothing more to do. It's time to move on to new stories. Batman has plenty of villains that can be used in the next film.

Nolan has said numerous times that TDK was really the story of Harvey Dent. (That the Joker was just a force tearing through the movie, but it was Harvey's arc.) That arc ended with Harvey's death. Had Harvey not ended up the way he did at the end of TDK, I would say bring him on. But the way the story was told, I think it should be left there.

The script says Two-Face snapped his neck when he fell and Nolan and Eckhart have even stated said that they consider Two-Face dead.

Agreed^
What about Bane? In the movie he could be some badass mercenary who's hired to find and kill Batman. Since Bats is wanted for murder Bane could be some sotra Batman hunter. Also I would've loved it if Joker appeared, at least for a brief moment in say Arkham since they established that he and Bats are destined to battle each other for the rest of their lives. But unfortunately casting someone else after Heath played such a major role in DK wouldnt be wise.

you can lead a somewhat pure life and still have a dark side...

I'm not sure how I feel about Bane in the movie after Batman and Robin... If they wanted to integrate the Joker into the plot without Heath Ledger, how about having his murder and some kind of revenge from beyond the grave be central to the plot?

If the story as anything to do with Arkham, I think it would be cool to at least reference the Joker. At most though, they could get somebody who could mimmick Heath's Joker voice and have Batman talk to him while Joker is hidden in the shadows of his cell where you can just barely see him. Or they can ignore the Joker thing altogether and re-cast him for part 4. Re-casting him for part 3 seems too soon, but part 4 wouldn't be coming out until somewhere about 2014-2015, which I say is long enough.

ok heres the thing i think they shoud use joker again using heath ledgers voice heres how they can do that

basically they go back and find lots of recordings of his voice and then put them all together to make it seem like hes talking and they can give some other guy plastic surgery to look like heath ledger. that would be awesome

That would be fail.

Epic fail lol Finding a guy who'd agree to go through a plastic surgery so he could look like a dead actor just so he could be a part of one movie lol That's retarded. And old voice recordnings? Why don't we use Samuel Jackon's old recordings for the avengers movie instead of paying him money, Nick Fury would be like "YO MOTHAF#$KA!!!"

I would like a reference to Joker where at Arkham you can hear him laughing and a guard bangs on the cell door and says "Shut up laughing boy!"

No recast though. At least not now.

I definitely agree that the Joker shouldn't be recast right now & I personally believe they should wait until the next franchise. I'd be happy with a lot of villain choices as long as the Penguin is not among them. I think he's one of the most boring villains in history.

An original character might be an interesting route to take, if not for the primary villain spot then certainly for a Number Two spot.

or they could just give Daniel Day Lewis a call, he even has a Joker smile.

Id like to see Bane re-hashed as a second in command to the new number 1 baddie, Bane could be the new baddies 'go to guy' a super genius who is also much a match for batman physically.

I'd rather see the latter of your ideas than the former. I'm pretty much against a Joker recast for this franchise.

uh clayface of course
