Those hours will do wonders for your sanity.
But do you have long enough hours? Or did you just not have customers after 6:30?
I find that you will have more customers if you stay open until 9PM or 10PM. You will attract a subset of customers that you wouldn't be able to tap, before, if you stay open longer. Especially if you are in a retail space that has competitors.
