Your premise: the content is obviously so bad that any mod taking actions against it would clearly not be overly zealous.
Where you went wrong in your interpretation:
1. I think this type of conversation is okay.
2. Some overly zealous mods do not.
3. If someone reports it, it might earn some warnings or bans.
4. Conclusion: it is not the content that is wrong or even obviously "bad", it is the potential for an overly zealous mod to act overly zealous and issue bans/warnings.
