Nah. Personally I'll take anything with parapsychological abilities. I was a massive Heroes fan and stuck with it until the end, even when it sucked horribly. I loved Chronicle, and Akira is one of my all time favorite films. Also, an old episode of The Outer Limits entitled The Sixth Finger, and an episode of the Twilight Zone (always been a TZ fan) entitled Valley of the Shadows were also influential to me.
The thing about Marvel and DC is that Marvel is more about exploring the limits of powers and of human potential, whereas DC tells the stories of people given power and their responsibility of it. Marvel focuses more on the technical aspects whereas DC focuses more on the character arcs, both of which combine to create a great comic book hero.

If you were a girl...I'd marry you and put babies in you.
