Yeah.... there is that too with the movie critics nowadays, they don't know how to have fun
i remember when that Piranha remake came out basically saying it was terrible among other things, That was the whole point of it.

Thank you Sadako 🙂. The choice is as clear as, say, Khan vs Yoda?
😉 No probs.

Indeed. Its like blasting Taxi Driver for being "gritty"...!!
Im looking forward to both the orange of 'Gravity' and the apple of 'Machete Kills' here.
His review isn't what I went on. It only confirmed this guy's:
http://thecinemasnob.com/2013/10/11/midnight-screenings-machete-kills-and-captain-phillips.aspx
That being stated, I do want to see Machete Kills. It's just something I'm not anxious to see in theaters, unlike Gravity. I'll probably wait until it reaches one of the smaller theaters or hits Netflix.
Jahns knows his shit and he kinda sees things the same way I do like 95% of the time.
I feel safe with his recommendations cause so many of his reviews have been square with my take on stuff. Now if he is saying Machete Kills is good and this other guy recommends it also, then without having seen it yet, I'd have to venture that the other critics may be (as Kaz pointed out) missing the point.
Im torn on Gravity.
One one hand: Massive screen, 3D, Max quality/resolution allowing for all of those stars to be seen clearly in full resolution. The lure and promise of great reviews from credible sources saying "We are green!!! Situation is GO!" regarding the promise of a good tense movie with depth.
On the other: Can't smoke during a tense movie, have to have lots of dickheads around making noise and taking you out of the zone, and the risk of you're having to take a 4-gallons-of- sprite-pissbreak that take 5 mins cause of journeying Mordor quest style the neccesary milage to the bathroom in most multiplex cinemas as opposed to 1 min when you can pause the tension and miss nothing in home viewing... Hmmmmmmm.
