TBF, MOS wasn't a bad film (the latter two acts anyways), but the entire attempt at rewriting Superman's backstory failed so hard that it downgraded the rest of what was otherwise an entertaining film.

I agree just not to the extent you're putting it. I gave the film a 6 or a 7. It was entertaining and enjoyable so I can't give it less than a 6.
However, I feel that half of the people here could have written a better screenplay than what we saw.

MOS is complex to judge. On one hand, it delivered exactly what was promised in the trailer by having IMO the best and most entertaining live action superhero fights ever filmed. On the other hand, it was a massive disappointment from the trailer because of the awful inept attempt at Superman's backstory.
