absolutely you can get banned for topic derailment, though it takes an exceptional amount of pigheaded obstinance to accomplish this feat as you would typically be warned first, often several times...but i've seen it happen.

I haven't seen Quan derail threads too often. I've seen him pollute threads with his perverse stupidity and fanboyism. Hardly a banishable crime.
