No, that's a crappy comparison.

When Alpha Centauri posted on KMC, I was able to successfully ignore his trolls after he got me warned. It wasn't very difficult to do, at all. He eventually got himself banned. 🙂

This troll is different. Other trolls get banned so they just have to be ignored until a mod steps in. Quan is apparently immune to a permaban so we are forced to deal with him for the long term. You can't ignore that. It's like having a fly you can't kill constantly buzzing around your head.
And your comparison is faulty. It's not like the homophobe actually trolls them within their place of residence. It's easy to ignore him.

Using the ignore button seems pretty easy to do especially if 5-10 of you did it. You can moderate yourselves if you don't think the mods are doing a good job.
Edit - And if you said you were using the "ignore" feature for Quan's post, I would be sure and not quote Quan so you didn't have to read his posts.
