I would say the community, as a whole, really antagonized him over the HP crap. That INCLUDES myself as I argued against him, just as fiercely as any other. In FACT, it almost cost us our friendship (it was one-sided as he thought I was going too far with some of my comments.) I later came around to believing that some of that top tier wizards had enough speed to contend with Jedi's, but I still think a padawan is more than enough to take out 97% of the wizards in a 1 on 1.
I don't think RJ will come back. Along with Imp. and Robtard, he is an integral and a very large contributor to the MVF. It's sad to see him go. These parts are dying or dead, so we can clearly see how much conversation just one person can create for a forum. Good or bad, he got us reading.
RIP, John. RIP.
On another note, I still need to do the Hit Girl and Jedi Force Speed measures.
Yeah 'cause he NEVER antagonised the community, right? 🙄
All this sympathy illiciting would carry more weight if he weren't a constant and line-crossing stalker troll who dramatically and angrily stormed out when his game was up.
If anything "killed" him it was logic and reason.
However 'RIP John'. 'Cause death is SO comparable to having merely buggered off to another section of the board for a bit. 🙄

Woah. Never said that (either way.) Just pointing out that we were all kind of bustin' his crap about the HP Fanboyism at the end, there. I don't remember doing it at the end, but I certainly did it in times past, so I feel partially repsonsible. Meh, it's butthurt, no matter how I dress it up, but I'd still like to see him back here.
Just be a good sport and mourn his loss. RAWR!
Then at least pretend to care when there's MVF tumbleweeds and be like, "RJ! WE NEED YOUR CONTROVERSIES!" 😆
The tumbleweeds are inevitable at times and were so at many times during RJ's posting era.. When I buggered off of a bit it seemed to slowed too, but I more attribute it to the then current selection of champion characters being exhausted...like at the moment.
Well please forgive my bluntness for I cannot be false:
It was his "suicide". I've so if hes "dead" and "lost" gotta assume hes not "in pain" anymore.... I'm happy for him. 😉
I will mourn him this way by putting on an appropriately sombre song and raising a glass:

lol, there you go.
If it's just gonna be us two flirting for the majority of MVF social thread posts posts...might as well get the lube because I'm not about working my way throug the bases towards the home run! 😠
You sure got a purdy mouth. dur

IMO, he would have in time, but now he's got even more of a point to make by not coming back (yes, RJ, I know you love it when we talk about you and you're reading this). So who knows.
It's also no secret that 90% of the reason why I post in the MVF is to bust RJ's balls. I for one do hope he comes back and brings his nonsense, so I can spew my nonsense in return. Otherwise, I'll have to actually do work while at work.
