He turned most of debates into "Nyyyyyaaaaaah. I right. Period." without willingness to engage on any point that would legitimately contravene his own view and thats actually the opposite to a debate.
And if any were expressed that proved him wrong in the face of all his fingers-in-ears/screaming to the contrary, he'd just flame away and attempt to get personal. It was boring.
I hear you about the need for differing opinions, but anyone can provide them, even in colourful debate..

I found such arrogance/cockiness/stubbornness being entertaining and a challenge.
The only time my words couldn't correct his is when a loophole in logic defied reasoning in beating such arguments FOR BOTH SIDES, therefore when he continued to argue in favor of said conflicts......I agree it was irritating.
Still we don't need him to keep a movie vs thread alive.
Simply he had enough time on his hands and the mindset to make and argue threads.
I can't dislike anyone with real character in this forum. Cause it's a rare thing. that's why I'll miss him.

To be fair, he did admit to being wrong many times. So many times, in fact, that he puts most of us to shame. Sure he was arrogant...but, be honest: he admitted fault a lot more times than you and I, combined. 😄
Granted, he was wrong any time he disagreed with you and I, necessitating and admittance of fault. estahuh

As of now I am currently thinking up how this think will be judged. Will it be done via panel or public voting. By Tuesday I hope to have a sign up set up and on Monday a list of rules. I'll probably randomize the matches. Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated via PM.
