Funniest thing happened today. Man claiming to be some vice mayor of a small town called me up and "warned" me that someone took out a hit on me. He then made hints that he could probably talk to the guy involved (who was paid around 150-200 USD) and asked if I wanted him to do so. He didn't ask for any money but he wanted me to call him tomorrow in case I wanted him to do something about it.
Except I don't really have any enemies (save maybe for one person that I had a bad argument with, forcing said person to resign, but it wasn't THAT bad for something like taking out a hit on me) the guy didn't even know who I was and when I asked him, he skirted around answering. He also asked some very leading questions that I managed to avoid answering while asking him leading questions of my own.
My guess is that it's 99.999999% a scam to extort money from me and I promptly blocked the *******'s number from my phone.
The sad thing is, that life is pretty cheap where i live. And there's always that 1 in a million chance this is true. However, I know my routine and I'm pretty much untouchable save for when I'm in my car heading home. Thinking of getting bulletproof glass.
Anyway, if I suddenly disappear within the next few weeks, may as well consider the possibility that someone may well have taken me out and it was nice debating with you fellas. 😛

Elections coming close where I live. S'usually where some less-than-savory politicians/syndicates (who need bribe money for the politicians they support) send out their dogs to sniff up some cash.
What is it that you do in the Phillipines, if you don't mind saying.
But armouring your car is pretty expensive if you want it done correctly, at least in the states. You might just look into getting a used already armoured vehicle that's rated for small arms fire and below, as I don't think .50cal rifles and RPGs are a concern for you.
