I could have sworn, they where simply tricked by MoM. She changed the battlefield into an Alternate Earth. Unless you speak of Dark Urizen (?).

In regards to MoM tricking God and Satan. Even Spawn was unaware that MoM had changed the setting to an alternate that resembles their own. I mean, he faked his death so he would be left alone once and for all. But you have to remember, he asked Him/Her where they are and what’s going on now. To get to the point, it wasn’t Spawns doing.

You do know that avatar is from a character, who takes his name “Id” vary literal? As in the counterpart to Ego, Superego, and Id. Where Id is like a personification of primal urges such as; sex, violence, pleasure etc…

You do know that that Id (the character), attempted to kill of the entire population, and purpose is to kill of God himself.
