Russia's stated military policy is to use nuclear weapons against nations with greater military technology

even if one believe your claim about France, England and Germany, there is no reason to remove nuclear arms from the equation, which GREATLY tip the favor for Russia

Yes. But do you actually believe they would be thick enough? Me, I rate them more intelligent than that.

You have to take out nukes in the equation of any war now because the use of such would be as detrimental to the country who uses them. Nuclear arms are way beyond the Hiroshima bomb. No country is dumb enough to use them.

also, France, the who has the largest army of the 3 you mentioned (and of any NATO country excluding USA, and of EU nations excluding Turkey) has roughly a quarter the size of the Russians (active troops). Looking at total troops, it jumps to almost 1/5.

Size doesn't really matter now, and Russian numbers are also inflated by the government.

[B]plus, France is not America. America's military policy is to stay at least a generation ahead of all nations, meaning that France's technology is probably not that much better than the Russians.

Considering the Eurofighter and the FAMAS along with military tech that US shares with its allies are greater than what the Russians have, I believe France are ahead.

[B]Wiki lays out the basics of each wing of both the French and Russian militaries. Just having a quick look, France would be ****ED

Wiki isn't reliable exactly reliable in war. It can't take into account unmeasurables like leadership and morale.

I'll take a Kalashnikov over a Famas anyday, at least when I used to play Rainbow Six online.

so your response is essentially "I don't buy your sources"

and I am suppose to believe that in light of you providing none?

so is Russia pulling out anytime soon? wasn't it suppose to be monday

last I heard they're saying they'll do it on friday

No, my response is your sources don't prove Russia would win. Russia has a larger army. A much larger army. But Germany has already shown a demoralized, badly led, and badly equipped enemy can be beaten without numerical superiority. They did against the France, and against the USSR until bad logistics and American aid kicked in.

The Eurofighter, which France is going to order, is comparable to the Raptor in terms of air superiority, Mirage's and Rafales are comparable to their Russian counterparts, and the Leclerc is in greater numbers and is a better tank than T-90s. There's also the better training given to pilots and tank crews.

I wonder if this Georgia thing is just an excuse for the USA to have a crack at Russia.

Russia is helping Iran & N. Korea build there Nuclear facility´s which can´t be going down too well.

And with this role reversal "cuban crisis" situation, ie the USA deploying those anti missile, missile´s in Poland right next to Russia, it all seems like a barrel of gunpowder ready to blow.

you do know china runs with iran right? the problam is russia wants to be like us hell every country in the world wants to have nuclear power and weapons. i believe history repeats itself in the worst factor and with how russia is acting with us and poland i wouldnt be suprised if we end up in another cold war. where already in a recession regardless of congress denying it. if we do go to war with russia we are screwed

Screwed in many ways:-
:- People will die in large numbers, mostly poor sods who have no choice.
:- the economy in the world will go the the dogs.
:- The US and its allies military are already stretched and Russia knows it
