I wouldnt mind a remake. The Jason Remake was suprisingly good. Slightly different but good none the less. I wish they will just be orginal. I wish i could get some of my stories published

New Line Cinema announced today that they will release their reboot of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET in theaters on April 16, 2010. Shooting for the remake begins next month in Chicago with Samuel Bayer behind the camera.

Awesome. Btw, a lot of people over at SHH! seem to want Ben Foster in the role, but I've only seen him in X3 which, as we all know, was a limited role, so I don't know how well he'd do.

I wouldn't either, especially if he could pull of a deep scary voice. I'm hoping for a voice similar to Freddy's from the first film once he got in the real world when it was pretty deep, that's more scary.

The days of Freddy as a comical timing killer are probably over so they will make him more menacing like in the original film IMHO.

So Jackie Earle Haley is the New Freddy Krueger should be good................ if him playing Rorscharch was anything to go by.

Yep, relatively unknown before Watchmen?, he wasn't unmasked for long and I assume more will remember the mask instead of his face. Interesting choice.
