Interesing piece of information on Nancy Pelosi and her ownership in gas stocks.

I guess it makes sense..all of the oil that would flood in due to off-shore drilling (which she wouldn't allow to be voted on) wouldnt make her stock rise too much.

Which brings us to Pelosi's 2007 financial disclosure form. Schedule III lists "Assets and 'Unearned Income' " of $100,001 to $250,000 from Clean Energy Fuels Corp. - Public Common Stock. Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (CLNE) is a natural-gas provider founded by T. Boone Pickens, the former oilman turned wind-power evangelist.

"She, and other investors, stand to gain a substantial return on their investment if gasoline prices stay high, and municipal, state and even the federal governments start using natural gas as their primary fuel source," reported dontgomovement.com.

You'll try everything to make the democrats look bad.

Yeah, because Democrats never made any insinuations about Cheney and his former company or Bush and his connection to oil...never.

Nancy Pelosi's a dumb *****. The tree-hugger Congress refuses to drill in ANWR because they're pushing a lie that its a pristine beautiful utopia with rolling green hills, giant snowcapped mountains, colorful flowers and cute little bunny rabbits. But the exact area where people want to drill is an ugly, muddy wasteland. Congress does all this under the banner of being "for the environment" and they're rich so they really don't care about foreign oil dependency.

Well those stories were true and went unnacounted for, much like others, but then they try to push it the other way even when the situations are so disimilar.

She kissed the Pope's ring, she can do what she wants.

The pope looks pretty pumped about it as well.

I don't think he's too comfortable with it to be honest...though that pic is not very flattering. Secretary Rice seems to be happy though.

the thing is, the more vehement Republicans want to open up ANWR entirely for drilling. And that's simply unacceptable.

And it's a bit disingenuous to say or imply that Democrats only want to protect the landscape. It ain't called the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve for nuttin'

........................brain?

“This call for drilling in areas that are protected is a hoax, it’s an absolute hoax on the part of the Republicans and this administration” Pelosi said at her weekly press conference. “It’s a decoy to punt your attention away from the fact that their policies have produced $4-a-gallon gasoline.”

I tend to agree with her sentiments, somewhat. I think off shore drilling is rather bullshit. Why are we putting a bandaid on a severed arm?

However, the rest of the article makes the dems look just as corrupt as the republicans, IMO. It's really hard to make a proposal that involves tens to hundreds of billions of dollars in potential revenue for some companies without looking a little off color, imo. NOPE! They have NO vested interest with oil production. They're policies are strictly righteous and are for the American citizens that they represent.

Of course, I could be talking out of my ass and I don't understand how, what appears to me, as a faux ploy to make the dems look good by being "hard" on big business by forcing them to churn out "more" oil. "Increase domestic oil production to rid ourselves of foreign oil dependency." Great, but what about fostering alternative energy sources that are cheaper to produce and maintain than oil?

Do you guys REALLY think the cost of a gallon of gas will come down in a year or two if companies setup shop on the areas the dems are suggesting? Even better, do you guys really think the price of a gallon will come down in a year if current domestic oil production is increased? I can angry with a slight "maybe".

How about something more substantial? How about something that moves away from oil? Hmm?

It's never a win win, with politics. It's so corrupt that not even my dollar is worth a dollar.

Wait wait...I've got one...

Don't you think 30,000 reservations from the new Chevy Volt is speaking loud and clear? 😐

Again, I could be wrong in my sentiments. I'm open for someone to intelligently show me why my point of view on the dems pretending to have betters ideas literally are better ideas. I could be wrong...I'm not a politician, I can actually change my mind if shown the error of my ways. (F*** the flip flopper title.)
