No. How can one discuss lightsabre fighting styles when we don't know how it works, other than the bloody EU. All we have is ROTS to kinda find out how Vapaad works and whatever OB1's style is. But we can never compare them in duel against each other. So debate becomes.... ahemm.... academic. Or should I say Nerdemic.

Fighting styles?
Hahaha.
Lightsabers are lightsabers, everyone has their own unique style.
Not according to Mr. Lucas. You don't have to agree, nor do you have to comprehend it. But if it's mentioned in the novel, then it would count as canon. Vaapad gives Mace an advantage (not a guaranteed victory, mind you) against any dark sider. Something that wouldn't work against Yoda. You can say that "a lightsaber is a lightsaber" all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that people use it with different styles.
I guess different kung fu styles seems stupid to you too, huh?
And considering that the lightsaber forms are based off of REAL sword fighting styles, save for Vaapad's force advantage, there's not really much to dispute.

I would love to watch the movies and see if they talk about this but I know they don't so i will not waste my time.
Obviously everyone has their style, but I am sure they wouldn't limit themselves to one specific style.
