Cold Prey 2

If you like slashers and haven't seen Norway's Cold Prey, hurry up and see it because its pretty good and a sequel is coming out soon. Also check out Rovdyr if you like backwoods flicks. Anyway the trailer is out now on the official site and it looks like another decent slasher flick worth seeing.

The story will pick up where the first one left off: The winter of 2006 five young friends met a brutal death in the Jotunheimen mountain range of Norway. Only a young woman survived. Cold and weak Jannicke struggles her way back to civilization. In the small local hospital the personnel are going through their daily routines. But then the bloody and beaten young woman is brought in. Later Jannicke wakes up in her hospital bed. But the hospital is darkened and not a living soul is in sight. Alone she carefully steps out into the corridors. Is her nightmare not over after all?

I really really hope they don't go in the direction of making it that the survivor from the original turns out to be the killer in the sequel because she has gone mad and so on. Apart from that, looks like they are going into more background of the killer from the first movie, that will be interesting.

I enjoyed the first one and this sequel looks just as good. Can't wait.

Rovdyr is heaps better than Cold Prey, MP, check it out.

There is a Cold Prey prequel coming:

Norwegian slasher FRITT VILT (aka COLD PREY) series is set to get a third instalment. While it’s very early days for much info on the production, it will be a prequel to bloody events in the first two movies, and is to be directed by Mikkel Sandemose. Shooting is tipped to start in September, with an eye to release in October 2010.

Just watched this last night, not better or worst than the original film, enjoyed them both the same. Also helps, that all the characters are more or less nice, so you care for them. Unlike, say the remake of Friday the 13th, couldn't give a crap about most of them.
