With so many people talking Riddler, I think it's pretty safe to say that he won't be in Batman 3. Chris Nolan doesn't like rumors. The more I think about it, the more I feel that Nolan should use an original villain (being a great writer and all).

Im not really sure about the Riddler.. he seems to be kindof a copycat of the joker to me. I think deadshot and penguin should be in the third movie. Considering the fact that Nolan prefers to make his movies as realistic as possible, it would be quite hard to choose a classic batman villain. Quite hard, but possible. And Im so looking forward to a third batman, if nolan or any great director/writer is up for it.
Not unless you MAKE the Riddler dfferent.. The way I see Riddler is of a guy who is VERRRRRY inteligent, and knows his history. His riddles will NOT be easy to solve. You gotta actually study or know as much history as he does in order to solve his riddles, plus he'd give you a time limit just to make things interesting. Also he'd have to be really rich...in the way Bruce Wayne is. He'd use that money to build a maze full of traps, and riddles.
The only time the Riddler ends up like the Joker is when you have people like Joel Schumacher working on the character. I know people don't like the show, but look how much of a contrast from the Joker he was in "The Batman" & also in TAS.
I think Nolan would easily be able to make the Riddler very much different from the Joker in his world.
