Serenity: Better Days
Did anyone read this miniseries? I thought it was pretty good, certainly an improvement on the first Serenity comic series, "Those Left Behind". I loved the first two issues, but then the conclusion seemed kind of rushed, which was also one of TLB's problems. Also, I wasn't sure how robots could quite work in the Serenity-verse. They just didn't fit somehow... too "Lucas", the sudden appearance of multiple, expendable robots as a badguy's thugs. The ending wasn't explained enough, but otherwise, a damn good miniseries and I can't wait 'til the 3rd (which will apparently be about Shepherd Book- here's hoping for some kind of explanation of his past). Certainly, this miniseries captured the spirit of the TV series more effectively than Those Left Behind; the dialogue was perfect, as Whedon's generally is.
So... any thoughts?
